On 16 April 2024, the Croatian Web Archive, Slatina City Library and Marko Marulić Secondary School in Slatina organised the third edition of HAWathon, the Archive’s web searching competition. Focusing on Viktor Žmegač, the native of Slatina and Croatia’s distinguished 20th-century literary historian and Germanist, the competition brought together 36 students attending the School’s academically oriented programme (classes 2. a and 2. b).
Searching the internet according to specified criteria to find as many hyperlinks with content on Žmegač as possible, the students took part in the creation of this thematic collection, which includes websites, news sites’ articles, blog posts and research papers from the Croatian scientific and professional journals portal (Hrčak).
The collection contains 220 URLs, totalling 418 GB of data.
